On the wings of the fashion designer’s creativity, the shirt has usually had a tendency to be avoided, outclassed by eccentric or easy-chick outfits, and unfairly replaced by sweaters made of avant-garde technical fabrics or by elastic waist tops. Now, that same shirt it’s back to the catwalks of the world.
This year the printed shirt, which is the normal classic shirt in cotton, jersey or silk, is back with a twist of trendy revenge to be the star of the wardrobe of every woman who wants to keep the pace of fashion during Autumn/Winter 2014.
Designers of the most popular brands have revisited it, styling it with vintage and futuristic prints.
So this year, under the coats we’ll see a lot of these shirts with different styles like the 70’s, retro, geometric, floral, and much more.
Some to look for, are those in silk by Zara using cashmere pattern, or those by Miu Miu that chose flowers like Burberry Prorsum did. Also, Kenzo, who offers them on a more sophisticated style and over a unique background in shades of chocolate.
