Also environmentally friendly fashion has its event represented by the Revolution Fashion Week staged from 24th to 30th April. During this week you can catch up on a way of thinking and doing fashion focused on a greater attention to the earth’s resources, a greater respect for human rights and more transparency for the entire production chain in order to make the consumer aware of his own style choices.
The history of the Revolution Fashion Week kicks off in the United Kingdom on the initiative of Carry Somers and Orsola De Castro and represents an event in memory of a tragic incident occurred on April 24th 2013. On that occasion, he recorded the collapse of the textile center where more than a thousand workers claimed their lives, while others 2500 were left wounded.
In Italy the week dedicated to environmentally friendly fashion is strongly supported by the designer Marina Spadafora with the support of Altromercato and ActionAid. The most important Italian event currently that held in Milan was represented by a new monologue about the impact of global fashion realized by actress Lella Costa.
The primary aim was to celebrate the ethical fashion giving at the same time a message of revolution and commitment towards a positive change, demonstrating the possibility of a different economic model and responsible consumption.
