Moda Bimbo proves to be a very interesting segment and particularly appreciated in the field. The demonstration comes from the latest emerged data which have emphasized a substantial increase of 4.9% in the framework of exports, against a sharp slowdown in imports than remain steady at -1.7%.

To unearth these data is Italian Fashion System (SMI), announced at the presentation of the 85th edition of Pitti Bimbo, a famous event dedicated to junior fashion for Spring-Summer 2018 and expected in Florence, at the Fortezza da Basso, from 22nd to 24th June.

Pitti Bimbo is confirmed again to be one of the flagship events, internationally, about the fashion designed for children. Compared to the previous edition, this year increase the collections (538 against 498 in June 2016). Something important is about the origin, with 60% of the production coming from abroad.

Thanks to the results of SMI about the children’s fashion exports was also possible to define in further detail how the international markets are interested in the junior fashion made in Italy. Compared to the past, however, Russia no longer arises in the first place as a customer of the local kidswear, positions itself rather in a negative position (-5.2% compared to 2015).

In the next edition of Pitti Bimbo 2017, the central theme will be “Boom, Pitti Blooms”. The focus will be catalyzed almost entirely on the children’s footwear sector, while among the news of the edition there will be the debut of the junior collection formed Emilio Pucci, in collaboration with Simonetta and the return of Roberto Cavalli’s Junior line.
