From 26th September to 3rd October is staged also this year the women’s Fashion Week with new brands as protagonists which go into the calendar but also transfers of labels and fashion houses that will welcome their new artistic directors.
The first event to mark on your calendar will certainly be represented by the Dior runway show, which will open the Fashion Week in Paris ousting somehow Saint Laurent, that will walk the catwalk first in chronological terms but will not be the only star of the first day. Two pieces of news from America that will land for their first time at the Paris Fashion Week: Altuzarra and Thom Browne. The first time also for the French company Lacoste that has in store the launch of the celebrations for its 85th anniversary.
Regarding the changes of artistic directors, these will be reflected for example on the runway show organized by Givenchy that will feature the first parade branded Clare Waight Keller. A show was planned that will mix perfectly the male and female aspect. Ungaro instead will relaunch the woman thanks to the work of Marco Colagrossi. Among the other names that will bring a wave of innovations in the Paris Fashion Week also Natacha Ramsay-Levi, new creative of Chloé, and Olivier Lapidus for Lanvin. This one, appointed recently, maybe will debut with a capsule rather than a complete collection.
Speaking of novelty, that’s at the end what new names come into the calendar for the first time: the American Off-White of Virgil Abloh, Yang Li, Victoria/Tomas and the Austrian Wendy & Jim.
