The subject related to miss baby, little girls models, is very delicate, especially in Italy. In our country this is a phenomenon that is slowly catching on, albeit later than the New World, but that is often the subject of controversy and misunderstanding. The last opportunity that has helped lift the debate was represented by the recent edition of Miss Monreale 2017, an event created by the young Francesco Pampa and that, although very appreciated, has been overwhelmed at the same time by controversy. The reason is due to the presence of many minors among the participants. Not surprisingly, the winner of the title is just 12 years.
Miss Monreale was an event back in vogue after 20 years thanks to the 37-year old Francis Pampa, who has faced, however, criticism copious also related to the participation of a 12 year-old, then winner of the competition. Despite this, the organizer took the controversy with great diplomacy, citing some emblematic precedents: Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, all models who started from very young to take their first steps in the fashion world.
However, the famous names do not stop here. Today, the world’s highest paid model is Gisele Bündchen, who made her debut on the catwalk when she was 13 years old. And what about Naomi Campbell, icon of international fashion? When she was discovered, she was just 14 years old.
Here, then, that even the new Miss Monreale 2017 won placing herself outside the box, complete with a stunning face and a height of 1.75, as well as the similarity with one of the youngest and popular local anchorwoman, Ilary Blasi.
The world of fashion, in fact, has opened its doors also to young girls, without this represents a real scandal. From 13 to 18 years, for example, you can subscribe to numerous competitions, including the most famous New Model Today, The look of the year, Italy Elite Model Look, Miss World, Miss Italy Mascotte. In this world, in fact, people begin to work from the earliest age, often before high school diploma. Like any other dream, then, little girls and boys run after the fashion-one since their childhood, often succeeding.
According to Pampa it’s not correct to speak of commodification of the body, since none of the participants is forced to do this. Each minor, in fact, is always accompanied by parents. Despite what you might imagine, though, the fashion world is a difficult and tough location, so it is good that girls, especially young girls, entrust themselves to serious and professional agencies.
