Everything is ready for the next 93° edition of Pitti Uomo 2018 that is taking place from 9 to 12 January, 2018, as always in the marvelous set of Fortezza da Basso in Florence. The paradise of men’s fashion is going to show again all the innovations in this field with the new collections that will influence 2019 Winter Season. More than 1200 brands are taking part into the next edition, the half of which coming from abroad.
On that occasion, Men’s Fashion Show is going to be transformed into a film festival. In fact, the theme is “Pitti Live Movie“. The 93 edition is creating many expectations even in the Managing Director of Pitti Uomo, Agostino Poletto, who wanted to underline how the event always represents “a great movie on fashion” where the protagonists are “brands, companies, buyers, journalists, influencers and visitors coming from all around the world.” And it will be the same this year.
Cinema at the core of Pitti Uomo 2018: this idea is going to be developed thanks also to the realization of an actual Movie theatres district in the Fortezza, characterized by blockbusters, cult movies and unreleased movies of which 11 produced by Pitti, giving the impression of a true film set. Each wing represents a specific film genre, without losing the fil rouge of the edition.
Once more, Pitti Uomo proposes itself as an immense, international stage dictating fashion trends not only in terms of collections but also of sales volume. It is worthwhile noting that Italian fashion export has increased of more than 3% and is constantly growing on every market.
Now, let’s see who are the protagonists of Pitti Uomo 93: Brook Brothers, an ancient American clothing brand, who has decided to celebrate its 200 years with a Special Event runaway show that is taking place exactly on 10 January at the Salone dei Cinquecento of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. Guest designers of the edition are two Japanese creative designers belonging to two different generations, Undercover by Jun Takahashi and Takahiromiyashitat The Soloist. An eagerly awaited event is also Gucci Garden in Piazza della Signoria realized by the creative director Alessandro Michele. The area is including not only a store with rare items but also a restaurant managed by the starred chef Massimo Bottura. Furthermore, there will also be room for local as well as international productions with young designers coming from Finland and not only.
