Everything is ready at Fortezza da Basso in Florence for the first date of Pitti Uomo in 2018.

The 93rd edition of one of the major international events for men’s fashion is programmed from 9 to 12 January 2018.

There are four days of runway shows to present the collections of men’s fashion for Fall/Winter 2018-19. More than 1200 brands are walking the catwalks, half of which are foreign brands and 227 new entries.

The guest nation this year is Finland that takes part into the event with 8 Finnish brands and designers, selected to introduce their collections at the Fortezza da Basso.

The theme of this year is the “Great Cinema” and the pavilions have been turned into movie houses where you can enjoy the show of men’s haute couture.

Among the names present at Pitti Uomo Immagine 2018 there are memorable brands such as Karl Lagerfeld, Corneliani, Save the Duck and the return of Pepe Jeans London that celebrates an important anniversary: 45 years of its activity.

Another brand to remember is Fratelli Rossetti, synonym of high quality shoes and Made in Italy. In the Archive Room you can find an area devoted to Birkenstock.

The brand lifestyle Paul&Shark is also presenting its new collection at Pitti Uomo.

There are also even Japanese artists among the guest designers in this edition of Pitti Uomo: Undercover by Jun Takahashi and Takahiromiyashitat The Soloist, who are presenting two shows at the Stazione Leopolda, one after the other, on the evening of January 11.

But the most anticipated event of Pitti Uomo 2018 is the unveiling of Gucci Garden at Piazza della Signoria, scheduled on January 9 in the old Palazzo della Mercanzia.

Gucci Garden will become an exclusive exhibition complex with luxury shops and a restaurant managed by the Michelin 3-star chef, Massimo Bottura.
